At our check-ups we carry out a thorough examination of the teeth and gums and include an oral cancer check. We then review your radiographs and discuss our findings with you in detail.
Our team recommend a dental check-up every six months to maintain your oral health.

Dental Restorations
In addition to our cosmetic treatments, we carry out routine dental restorations on the regular. Dental restorations can include composite (white) fillings, dental crowns or bridges, inlays, onlays and dentures.

Root Canal Treatment
When the pulp in your tooth becomes infected it can spread to the root canal and your tooth may become painful. If the infection spreads further it can cause a tooth abscess, which is a collection of pus. This can be painful and tender when you bite down on your tooth and can cause swelling around your tooth and jaw. Sometimes your tooth may look darker in colour than your other teeth, which means that the nerve inside your tooth is dead or dying. Without treatment the infection may spread further into your jawbone and you may need to have the tooth taken out.
The aim of root canal treatment is to remove the damaged pulp and the bacteria that are causing the infection.

Extractions
If a tooth has been broken or damaged by decay, your dentist will try to fix it with a filling, crown or other treatment. Sometimes, though, there's too much damage for the tooth to be repaired. In this case, the tooth needs to be extracted. A very loose tooth also will require extraction if it can't be saved, even with bone replacement surgery (bone graft).

At Moira Dental Care we work closely alongside a range of labs to get the perfect denture for you. There are a range of materials available for crafting dentures, and working with your dentist we can establish your needs & get a custom made denture.
We use dentures are a more affordable tooth replacement option to bridges or implants.
