What is a denture?
A denture is a prosthetic device either fixed or removable and replaces a single tooth, multiple missing teeth or a full arch of teeth.
At Moira Dental Care we work closely alongside a range of labs to get the perfect denture for you. There are a range of materials available for crafting dentures, and working with your dentist we can establish your needs & get a custom made denture.
When would you need a denture?
We use dentures are a more affordable tooth replacement option to bridges or implants.
They can be used as a temporary measure for a single tooth whilst an extraction site is healing before your implant is placed.
Or, they can be a more permanent option when more than one tooth is missing to improve aesthetics and the function of the mouth.
Can you get a permanent denture?
Yes, this is what we would call an implant retained denture and more information on this can be found HERE
